Jessalyn Holodinsky, PhD is an Assistant Professor (Data Science) in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Calgary, with cross-appointments in Community Health Sciences and Clinical Neurosciences. Her research targets complex health system challenges such as emergency department resource utilization, time-sensitive care pathways, and clinical decision support, applying advanced statistical modeling and machine learning to administrative databases and electronic health records. Her work spans both system and patient levels, translating complex datasets into actionable insights for clinicians and policymakers. She collaborates across disciplines through the Centre for Health Informatics, O’Brien Institute for Public Health, Hotchkiss Brain Institute, and Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute. All of Dr. Holodinsky’s work is grounded in core her belief that Data Saves Lives.
