Chair, Interim Indigenous Advisory Committee
Chenoa (she/her) is an anishininewak-mixed settler from the Barkman family in Sachigo Lake First Nation, with French and Scottish ancestry. She is a Population Health Epidemiologist with the Indigenous Health Research Unit at the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute, where she studies diverse topics including the impacts of COVID-19 and other public health emergencies, Indigenous health and emergency medicine, and Indigenous food sovereignty and health systems. She is a co-investigator on several local, national, and international grant-funded projects in the areas of global health, gender and sexual health, youth engagement in research, land-based healing, and pandemic preparedness. She is the interim Chair for the Indigenous Advisory Committee for CEDRN.
